Business Idea
IKEA Kitchen Cabinet Installation

This is a very interesting business idea, and there are people who have businesses specializing in IKEA kitchen cabinet installation.

Now IKEA is one of those places I hope to visit someday, right up there with Paris and New Zealand.

And I really should be able to attain that dream much easier, since I don’t have to hop on a plane, the closest store is only about three hours from my home. I just haven’t got there yet, but I will.

I love the design sensibility of IKEA, they have a simple aesthetic with quality and practicality that appeals to a lot of people.

And the buzz about their kitchen cabinets is that they are a great value, and will save you a lot of money over the cost of other conventional or custom cabinet options.

Even installation is supposed to be much simpler than traditional cabinet installation. But it does help to know what you are doing.

And there is someone who has written a complete guide to doing it right.

Bret Spottke has written a wonderful IKEA Kitchen Cabinet Installation Manual, complete with pictures and tutorials, that is available for immediate download at a very affordable price of only $27.00.

That picture to the right is of his new IKEA kitchen, and he has before and after pictures on his website.

His manual will help you become an expert in IKEA kitchen cabinet installation, and also gives you tips to add flooring installation and other extra income producing kitchen remodel skills to your business.

And this is one of those ideas for a small business that doesn’t require a lot of start up cash, especially if you already have a basic arsenal of tools.

Now to start this business idea you should have some handyman skills, and ideally it would be great if you have installed these cabinets in your own home, or for someone else.

And that could be a good way to get started and get some practice. This is also a good way to get word out about your business, and get some exposure.

Plus it would give you an idea of how to decide on pricing for your services.

Then when you are ready to begin marketing you could use a number of options - flyers, brochures, business cards, contacting home builders and contractors, etc.

And a very good place to target your services would be to landlords with apartment complexes, duplexes, etc.

IKEA kitchen cabinets would be a money saving option for them when they are upgrading or remodeling a property, and if you make some good connections here this could keep you busy indefinitely.

If this business idea appeals to you, be sure to click here to check out Brett’s website, he has lots more info about his manual and IKEA kitchen cabinets than I could put into this article.
