Add in the cost of a dedicated phone line and some business cards you could be in business for around $1000.00 As small business ideas go, this is an inexpensive start-up cost. This would be way to get into the carpet cleaning business as inexpensively as possible, and you could invest your earnings into upgrading to the basic package from Carpet Care Systems when you are ready to get into residential and commercial carpet cleaning. Most area rugs are as easy to clean as carpet, but be sure to test an area first if the rug looks expensive, or if you are not sure of the fiber content. Some antique rugs may be very delicate and some rugs could be woven from more hard to care for fibers. So be sure to do some research online to get familiar with the different types of fibers used in area rugs. And don't be afraid to say no if you are not sure about a rug.
