Perhaps you’ve heard about the Elmo fiasco that happened a few years back? There was an Elmo toy that was the must have toy for Christmas, but the stores apparently did not have enough.
Smart eBay sellers that had done their holiday research had bought stocks of this toy earlier in the season at their local Walmart and other big box stores. They were getting outrageous prices for them on eBay, from parents who had promised their child the toy for Christmas.
